Diana Georger, MFT

     I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I work with couples, families, teens, children, and adults, both individually and in groups. 
​
     In addition to private practice, I work at The Cheerful Helpers Child and Family Study Center. 
 
     I have extensive experience with parents and their children whose expressions of aggression or withdrawal may surface due to anxiety, depression, ADHD, learning differences, neurological diagnoses such as autism, and subtle brain injuries due to early trauma or/and in-utero exposure to toxins.

      I graduated with an MA from Pacific Oaks College and my approach with both adults and children is informed by my training in the Neurorelational Framework, Psychodynamic Theories, Feldenkrais, RIE, The Violet Oaklander Technique, Sand Tray and Art.  Currently I am a doctoral candidate at the Psychoanalytic Center of California in their Adult Psychoanalysis Core Training Program.  I received certification for the one-year child focused program at PCC.

       A BFA Degree from Ithaca College and decades of studying, performing and dedication to the arts, have provided me a deep knowledge of body and voice, improvisation, attunement, and the exploration and comfortability with high affective emotional states.

I also work with adults, offering support during life transitions and times of hopelessness and overwhelm. 
 
      Los Angeles culture is full of opportunities, and at times the impact of urban stressors, competition, ambition and the multitude of options here can negatively impact the psyche and body.
 
      We heal best in the presence of others. I am dedicated to that opportunity and deeply dedicated to the therapeutic process.
